rencetly, when im listening to music on my computer thru itunes, the sound quality, which would normally be great, starts sounding bubbly and disjointed. its been doing it for a few weeks now, and when i close itunes and reopen it, its fine, but just gets worse again. it only seems to be happening with itunes and quicktime, it doesnt happen with other programs like divx and winamp. anyone having the same problem or know whats wrong? is it itunes, or just my computer with itunes, because ive had itunes for almost 2 years and no problems like this

I have a simliar problem, or had one I guess, it hasn't happened to me in over a week. When the crackling started, I just paused the song, then hit play again. The noise went away and didn't come back for the rest of the time Itunes was running. I did this once a day for about 3 days before I noticed the problem was gone.

I also noticed it only did this when I was using head phones of any kind. At first I though it was my files, but it is in fact Itunes somehow.

I really don't know what the problem was, but yours may work its way out like mine did.

i also experienced this problem...i think it is because of audio codecs....because when i set up kazaalite codec pack, my itunes started to give errors...so i removed the pack....now i am happy without any unnecessary codecs...i only had AC3 for audio =) try this

scar, how exactly did u remove your codecs? The codecs I installed don't have un-installers.
