"do not Disconnect" does not change???

I just installed my new Ipod yesterday. I have been dropping some tunes on it (from my PC & itunes) and it seems to wrok OK. What I can't get it to do is not have the "do not Disconnect" message quit. How long is an initial battery power up? I have had it going for more than 10 hours.

The unit also froze in that "do not Disconnect" mode. Has anyone ever run into this one. VEry much appreciate the help.

Hey!

It will say DO NOT DISCONNECT as long as it is connected to the PC and MOUNTED... So it will never go away actually, untill you "eject it" or unmount it.

Then you will get a message saying you can remove it from the cable/docking.. Hope that helps

Thanks! I thought that something was wrong. I am still working out all of the kinks.

it happens to me sometimes. i just pop it out of the dock and reboot it. (hold the play and menu buttons till the apple logo appears.)
