Whenever i start up Windows and have my ipod plugged into the back of the computer (through firewire) windows takes a while to load.

After the Windows logo dissapears, the ipod starts running a bit (the hard drive spins) and waits for a while. I suppose windows tries reading for not reason. So is there a script i can write in which windows would ignore trying to read the ipod?

oh, same thing goes out to the external harddrive, it does the same thing. some help would be nice, thanks :D

Well, I just answered this 2 nights ago.

Go into bios and configure to NOT boot from USB.

i've done that before, i've done everything i can from BIOS but it still does the same for Firewire and USB, if you would know of a script that i can save in the drives, that would be cool.
