Copying iTunes to a 2nd computer

I recently purchased a laptop with Windows XP. I want to transfer iTunes with my 500+ songs from my PC, which also runs XP and where my iTunes was originally downloaded, to my new laptop as I will be getting rid of my PC. Is this possible or do just by copying? - or - Do I have to load the software that came with my iPod in the first place?
