I am a new iPod owner. I downloaded iTunes 6 on my PC, which is a rather "aged" Dell Dimension 8100. I was able to get a bunch of CDs into iTunes, but when I connected my iPod, I got a warning because my USB ports are not 2.0. When I try to put music onto the iPod, I get this error message. Is it because I need to go to 2.0? I had thought that I would be able to transfer files (albeit at a slower rate). Will getting a 2.0 PCI card solve my problem, or is this error known to be due to something else?

Use the updater and restore the iPod.

I tried those and still have the same problem. Anything else to try before buying the card? Do I really require 2.0? I already tried several different USB ports (at first I was on a hub then I moved to directly attaching to the computer).

Problem solved with USB 2.0 PCI card.
