Im beginning to think the iVod is never coming (and possibly even not worth the $50 price tag).

Has anyone recieved their Vaja Classic? Reviews?

I have spent/wasted a large portion of today researching leather nano cases. I have come to the conclusion that the only ones worth buying are AP161 and AP171 vaja cases...

Overpriced? I think so
17$ shipping = ridiculous? Yes
Stylish Case? uhm... yes definitely.

I am leaning towards the AP161 ($40) Brown, with clickwheel protector ($6). It looks nice and offers a little more protection than the AP171 for a grand total of $63! Yikes... maybe I am not so sure.

Here is iLounge's review... which basically says that both are nice, overpriced and dont offer that much protection... with the AP161 getting a slightly better review.

Tammy,

Did you get the 161 (flipcase) or the 171?

I got mine. Classic, no flip. The fit and finish is impeccable.

I'll see if I can post pic later.

I got the 161, with magnetic flip a few days ago and I love it. Something about the size of the Nano, it looks so darn cute in its beautiful new case. The case is crafted so meticulously, it is worth the price.

I left the MF shield on though, cause I use the Nano a lot with the necklace/headphone.

case was nice and the brown i chose i didnt expect to be so dark in real life. anyways it's great case, well fit but next time I don't think ima spend so much on a case. esp a nano so small.

I have the moonlight blue Vaja 171 case with the hook. It's very nice. I like being able to hook my iPod to my pants loop.

The fit is very tight though, so it's not very easy to take the iPod in and out of the case (I'd like to be able to charge the iPod through my portable speakers).

I finally rec'd my Vaja AP161 last week. Here's my impressions:

A VERY nicely made case. Very snug, neatly stitched, the leather is nice and smells the same. Its dandy and I like it very much.

However....it was $44 PLUS $17 to ship to the states. Frankly, for a total of $61 its really more of a crazy splurge than a sound purchase.

I ordered mine with the belt clip thinking that since it fits in the case "upside down" I could attach it to my belt and enjoy all the functionality. Sorry, it just doesn't work that way. If I want to see the menus I have to detach it from the belt holder. Only way around that would be to wear a VERY loose fitting belt and then my pants would fall off and viewing the menus would become the least of my concerns. Bottom line is that I pretty much just stuff it in my shirt pocket and now the little connector for the belt clip is simply in the way.

Nice case, a bit too expensive. If you order leave off the belt clip.

By the way, Vaja shipped the case 18 days after ordering, but, Fedx took a full seven days to get it to me.
