After more than a year of waiting, I finally bought the 30gb iPod. What can I say... It's amazing. I managed to get the UCLA educational discount price matched at my local Best Buy in Westwood, Los Angeles. I also picked up the 4-year, 39.95 warranty, just to be on the safe side.
I installed MusicMatch because I thought I had to... not sure if I did, anyhow, I erased it quickly, and installed EphPod. Works great, now I'm just in the process of sorting my MP3's before I do the big sync.
After seeing both the 15gb and the 30gb iPods, I can say that the size difference is very noticeable, and the 15gb is one notch more "pocketable." However, the added storage of 15gb was invaluable to me, which is why I went with the 30gb.
Anywho... here's a picture of my iPod and the first song I listened to:
