Hey!
Iv never bought headphones before iv only used the stock ones that have come with my mp3 and cd players. But now that the ipod has changed me and music forever im looking at new options for headphones. i dont really want ones that go in your ear like the stock earbuds that apple sends and i dont want huge headphones that make me look like an alien eaither. i basially just want headphones that are 2 pieces like the apple earbuds meaning theres a head phone for each ear and that go over your ears instead of going in. please leave suggestions and comments. sorry if i sound noobish but, well, i am lol.

If you will spend over 100$ thats all you will find is IEM which are the in-ear phones or full sized ones. You could go for grado

Yeah. Grado SR60 or SR80 are within 100$ and sound really good (although some find them uncomfortable). These are open though which means you can hear everything around you. You could also get Sony MDRG74SL. I hear they are very good and they look great (neck band phones). Still the open kind. So are the PX100 from Sennheiser. AKG has good small headphones: K24 (open) or K26(closed) or the newer K27i(closed). These sound very good, have a lot of bass, but are built a little bit flimsy and you have to care for them so you don't break them (it's not that easy to break them but they do break easier than other models)
Personally, I have PX200 from Sennheiser. They are closed and they fit me cause I have small ears. If you have small ears too you could get them too. I'm very pleased with them

(Closed headphones don't comunicate with the environment through the back so people don't hear what u listen to and some of what is heard outside doesn't get to your ear. The amount varies with fit, seal and construction of the phones)

Oh.. and there are the PMX100 and PMX200 which are like th PX100 and PX200 but have a neckband instead of an over the head band.

Anyway, if you want some real advice about HEADPHONES and not earphones (which is pretty much what iloungers listen with), try www.head-fi.org
They will tell you what headphones to buy to get the most out of your music
