Still think I'll give it a miss. There's phones already out there with better MP3 players builtin. And I note they've not gone with a standard headphone socket on this one either - again rules it out for me as the supplied headphones will no doubt be the usual cheapo rubbish ones.
Still, they're getting there - a few more models and they might have one that's halfway decent.
but still a RAZR with how good the 1st one sold , if this thing sells half as well its a hit

A Razr with iTunes sounds great! My mom has the black RAZR. It is cool!

Where did you get it? how much did you pay for it? What carrier is it linked it? is it even linked to a carrier? details!?
Sorry for the panic, I've been doing hours of research on this thing. It turns out only some V3i's have iTunes, while others have Motorola's Digital Music Player, and others have Screen3.

I looked at the razr, but the thing is just crappily made (no offense to anyone who likes it). I've had a few friends who ended up returning it because the plastic cracked within the first few weeks of use. I hope the SLVR is better constructed than the razr.

I posted this as reply to the First Look article about the SLVR, but I figure its fitting here as well:
I ordered a Motorola V3i off of eBay the other day and I just got it. (FYI: Not all V3i's come with iTunes. Some come with Motorola's Digital Music Player. Which plays mp3's, however it doesn't have the look of iTunes and does not show album art and other iTunes features. Also, at this point, it seems that iTunes is added by the carrier, not Motorola. So if you decide to purchase one from eBay, make sure you contact the seller and the seller makes sure that it has iTunes and not MDMP. The earliest models have iTunes, the middle ones do not, and then the ones being made right now are 50/50) This particular V3i ended up being a prototype, and the seller flashed/flexed the phone, and as a result, the iTunes no longer works and I have been trying to get it to work with no luck. This whole process got me thinking and I have decided to instead get a RAZR V3 Black, from Cingular for free with a two-year contract, and use the $330+ dollars I get back from the V3i to buy an iPod Video. I already have two other iPods, if I want another mp3 player, Im going to get a really good mp3 player, not one that has a 100 cap and other limitations. Besides, if im going to carry around my headphones with me, I probably have enough room for my ipod as well. I dont need to have it on my phone. (BTW, the V3i with iTunes has the 100 song cap, but if you get the one with MDMP, there is no cap, except for storage cap).

The V3i is available all over the internet. I have found wirelessimports.com has the best prices. Right now the V3i with itunes and 256 mb translash card with standard accessories is 379 with free shipping. Over the past week the price has dropped 20 dollars and in the past month it has come down about 50. I heard that it will officially be released for Cingular on the 20th but not positive.
