Hey guys,

please vote and write which case do you have and why!

ME:

I don't own a case, because in iSkin it can scratch too because of dust that is between the surface and the case when you put your iPod in it.

Also, the nice, shiny iPod looks so ugly in a case.

Greetings,
Ic3cub3

Yes. iSkin eXo [15GB]. Grippy, pretty, minimal size addition, colors!

I use an iSkin and am very happy with it. Dust, let alone scratching, is negligible, particularly if you clean the iSkin on a regular basis, which is very easy to do. I've found that most of the dust collects outside onto the iSkin, which, in my opinion, is a good thing, stopping the dust from getting inside of the skin or around the controls. As said, I'm very happy with it. The fit is tight enough that dust or dirt isn't rampant between the skin and the pod. That said, my dream case is the iPod Armor by Matias. Then I'll be perfectly happy to watch my iPod fall to the ground at work.

I use a exo iskin. I have a black one (asphalt) and a clear one (I think it's like ice or frost or something.) But it doesn't look ugly. Since the iSkin comes with it's own "Maclear" case you can prevent dust/lint getting into/onto the ipod. I use the clear one over the black one. I think it looks pretty cool.

iSee case.

While looks are important, I don't want to drop mine and have it not work anymore.

I dont have an ipod yet. but when i get one ,very soon, i will allways use a case.
because i have heard lots of people talk about all the scraches they have and how they had wished they'd used a case right away.

Yup, I have an aqua pearl iSkin. It feels sturdier in my hand w/ the rubber surrounding it and I like the fact that I have a screen protector & belt clip etc.

For the same reason I still use the apple earbuds (I'm broke from buying cool toys!), I use:

?the original apple case
?a very small Case Logic camera case, which holds the ipod in the apple slip case, along with the buds and remote, perfectly - only $5, such a deal!

I do plan to get a "real" case for it someday soon, but until then, these work great!

When I first got my iPod I never used a case, then I got a 20 and used the one that came with it. I hate the exo and exo2's because they were so huge. Then my iPod died and I got a shiny new one back. Not wanting to scratch it I got an eXo3 while it was away and put in on. :D No more scratches. Now I need a screen protector...

Carbon iSkin Exo2.

Protects from drops (from waist high on to concrete-@$#% dog!) has hard screen protection, stainless steel *completely removeable* clip. I use PDA protector plastic over the screen (just in case, not sure about those 4 bumps) and over the wheel and buttons.

Now have my "graphite" (or whatever it's called), iSkin exo2 and I hate it!

It makes my iPod look clunky and cheap. And it attracts so much dust and hair! :(

i'd have to agree with you there Keith, i have the exact same one (Carbon), NOBODY BUY IT!

I'm seriously considering a Podsleev from RadTech.

I have tried numerous cases. I have the Radtech PodSleevz case, and the Marware Sports Suit Convertible case. I do not like the PodSleevz case. [...incredibily difficult to put on and take off...clear plastic window attached so that the edge of the window plastic is exposed on the inside against the iPod] The Marware case is well-made, functional, and attractive. I used it for two years with my 1G iPod. The case performed like a champ and did its job well. The only complaints that I have about this outstanding case are that it is relatively bulky, and offers less protection when compared to my favorite iPod Armor. I started with a case called the Neopod for my 1G iPod [...replaced quickly by the Mareware Sports Suit Converible] I bought the original iPod Armor case when my wife got me a new 40GB | 3G iPod for Christmas. Something like a week after I bought the original iPod Armor, Matias came out with the new iPod Armor. I would highly recommend this newer version of the case. [...it has the window in the bottom for docking access] I rarely take the iPod out of it. I was going to send the original iPod Armor back, but decided to keep it for my 1G iPod. After reading some of the comments above, I might look into the iSkin eXo2 for those rare times when I take my iPod out of its safe, snug, protective, vault. Get iPod Armor you won't regret it!:D

for those who use iSkin, do yu ever get annoyed by it gripping to the fabric of your pocket when you're taking it in and out?? where do you usually put the pod when it's the ever so grippy skin???

i use the Ebony Exo2 and it looks okay, thicker than i would've liked, but good enough. the hard screen protector scratched my screen's side, so i put a PDA protector before it now.

i also kinda hate the idea of not being able to just dock it when i get home. urgh. i wish cases are not necessary. i wanna just enjoy the pod in its natural glory (naked). :(

I use the Contour ShowCase.

When I read the reviews and looked at the cases at the Apple store, I had one criteria. I wanted a really good quality, very protective case that my iPod would be in permanently. I didn't want to ever have to take it out again.

As the iPodlounge review notes, you can't use your dock with it, but I don't use the dock any more, and don't miss it.

Can't stand the rigid case thing. Using the fabric drawstring pouch thingy that came with my 40G package. My 'Pod has been comfy in my right front pants pocket ever since :D Moreover it's a cinch to slip it out of the pouch before docking it at the end of each day, and same goes the other way.

Had a look at a friend's podsleevz and wasn't too impressed. A bit too home-grown-ish for me. The iSkin looks cool with shock absorption and all, but I can't abide by the $$$ and extra thickness.

I have an iSkin and it's ok, but my 30GB is already bulkier than the rest and I'd like to maybe try those ones advertised on the front page news a few days ago that attach by static electricity and truely are clear.

I have a mini, and I don't have a case around it. I mostly use it sitting at my desk at work, and at the gym where there's a holder on the treadmill for a water bottle that my mini fits way in the bottom of. I do have the most perfect case for carrying it in my bag, though. For my wedding shower 2 years ago, my niece gave me a Mary Kay (cosmetics) travel kit. I never used the stuff inside it, but kept the cool little case. It perfectly holds my mini, the AC adaptor, headpones, and firewire. And it's purple. I don't think I could have found something this perfect if I'd tried...

Maybe I should let Mary Kay know. Whoever she is.
