Hi - I may be in the wrong place, in which case, pls excuse me, but since this is a question that related to either notes or PDF I thought I'd try here.

I would love to have a simple chess game on the iPod Vid I'm getting for Christmas. But so far I don't think that's at all poss. Big pity, in my op.

Soooo, next best thing. Can anyone tell me if there would be a way of getting those very simple graphic chess probs of the sort you see in newspapers, onto a pod?

I was thinking that there might be a way through notes. Can you save a graphic in notes? I've never tried working with notes. actually don't even know if notes is called 'notes' on a Mac!

If so..... can anyone think of where one can find a supply of chess probs in simple, static, graphic form , with the answers (!!!!) on the net? I was thinking 'black mate in one' sort of thing, with the image and then, by clicking to see the next 'page/image' you'd have the image of what moved. Or if there were several steps, the you'd have several pages.

If someone is looking for a feature to develop, this would be a go-er I'd suggest? I'd pay!!!

I'd be so very grateful if someone could help me out, it would just be the icing on the cake for me!!!!

Many thanks,
Abi

Oh, I think I may have the solution; The graphics could be downloaded from a chess resource site, saved into iPhotos and then shown on the iPod as a dedicated photo album. Whoohoo.

I've never used an iPod, could someone tell me if navigating through an album on a Pod, you can go to the next pic in the album without having to go through thumbnails? Can you just one click onto the next image in a series?

Thanks so much.

Oh I know, but I think it's never going to be interactive - no? I did drop a mail to apple on their suggestions page asking for a chess game to be on the pod.

Wouldn't be too hard to do I imagine, the click wheel could provide for up/down, left/right navigation and the centre button could select the piece you want to move and then another click could select the square you want it moved to.

But until, if ever, anyone comes up with a way to pull that off, I'd be happy just exercising the ole grey cells with static images.
