I have a couple of questions:

1)Which one works better with the iPod Color? I've heard about people complaining that these iPod models don't work well with low impedance earphones.

2)Which one do you prefer? ...ok, that's very subjective

3)Do Shure necessarily need to be weared with the cord behind the neck? Does the same apply for the Etymotic?

Thanks a lot

To me Shure E4c with 5G ipod is best combination. i used with 2G ipod mini it was ok but wasn,t very very good. Iam using E4c with 5G ipod and iam very happy now. I don,t use any AMP but iam using E4c included Attautar level( it,s black and it,s Have volume level).

Er4p really shines with classics, blues, and similiar genres musics. While Shure e4c is reduced a little on the treble compared to er4p, but has a vastly increased bass response that is able to handle hip-hop and rock quite well.

If your music tastes is very broad, I recommand you go for e4c.

ER4P can not be worn with behind the ear style like e4c, but e4c can be worn behind the ear or straight down like ER4P.
