View Full Version : Cleaning iPod after using silicon case?

I use one of those rubber/silicone covers for my iPod, and I find after removing the case that there's all sorts of "schmutz" that looks like the case has had a reaction against the iPod. It doesn't come off with any mild (or not mild) cleaner, and it looks more like little spots here and there have been made dull, presumably, by the cover, since the cover's been on almost all the time.

Anyone else get this? Any ideas how to get rid of it? Thanks.

This has been reported before and the cause isn't really known - some think it may be down to residue from the manufacture of the cases. Try searching the old forums for any posts on it.
