Hello Peeps,
I have seen the pictures of the Booq iPod case and it looks great! Though I wanted some of your opinions.
Also;
Does anyone know where we can get this item apart from Booq directly?
And for the Canadians, where can we get this product in Canada?
Thanks in advance.

I bought one & I'm sending it back. I have a 3G 20GB and the case seems like it would fit the thicker (30 & 40GB) iPods. It's too loose and too big.
This thread (http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/archive/topic/7868-1.html) shows that it's actually bigger than the iPod armor.

Thanks Morgan,
It looks a lot thicker than I thought it would be.....too bad.
My search continues......
What case is next for you then?

I just ordered a couple of exo iskins from theistore.com. I don't think it's ideal, but at least it's small.
I want to be able to put my iPod in my jeans pocket. It's small enough but I'd rather the lint not get in the crevices around the buttons and it seems to scratch really easily. I don't have keys or coins bouncing around in my pocket, but just looking at the iPod seems enough to scratch the LCD window.
The iSkin will help with scratches but it's sticky texture will mean it's a little hard to get in & out. It's not clear if theistore's maclear case is the newer one that's big enough to put the iSkinned-iPod into, but that would help keep more lint out & make is slipperier.
I thought a trim leather case with a flap would be a good solution and the Marware 3G CEO Classic might be a good choice, but I'm going to try this for now.
If I don't like the iSkin, I'm going to pony up the $$ for a Vaja iVod next.
Incidentally, the review I quoted in my earlier message showed the nylon Booq next to iPod Armor, not BooqPaq nappa, but the nappa I received looks like it was cut from the same pattern, just out of leather-- it's just as large.

Hi Morganw,
The maclear zip case that comes with our eXo's most certainly does accomodate the iSkinned-iPod. There is a picture of the iPod with the eXo in the zip case at the bottom of this page: www.theistore.com/index.html
It is great to protect the buttons from accidentally turning on and off often while carrying it in a bag or backpack, and then arriving with drained batteries. Doh!

Those of you looking for a simple leather case might want to consider this one from Covertec:
http://www.mobileplanet.com/private/covertec/product.asp?unit=iPodIII
I have a nearly identical case for my Clie and it's a real beauty. The craftsmanship and styling are spectacular, and it's not thick or puffy. I'm getting an iSkin, but if I decide I don't like it, I'll probably go for one of these covertec cases (to match my Clie!).
From my experiences with the Clie variation of this case, I can say it adds surprisingly little bulk, and I can still fit my PDA in my pocket pretty comfortably. I would imagine this would be the same for the iPod version. Likewise, I've had that case for about 8 months and it still looks pretty new, which is impressive considering the amount of time it spends banging around my other gadgetry, keys, pens, etc in my bag.
So, for those looking for a simple leather case, you should seriously consider the Covertec case for the 3G ipods.

Yep- it sure does. Got my two iSkins last night & I'm quite pleased. I'm going to try to modify one of the belt clips into a dashboard mount.
Two things about the speck skin that I might prefer (but I haven't tried one personally so I can't be sure):
1) covers dock connector. I'm willing to modify my dock to accomodate the iSkin so that's not my concern. What does bug me is having to still use Apple's little dock connector protector.
2) available with flat back. I mostly wanted something to protect the iPod in a jeans pocket. That means it needs to be small enough and not have any protruberances. With the post removed, the iSkin is small enough, but the speck is trimmer.
However, the speck isn't available in two sizes and the Booq was loose enough that I believe the posts that claim that's a problem.
The Jam Jacket would seem to meet more of my goals than the iSkin, but it gets consistently bad reviews when compared.
I'll post a picture when I get the car mount done.
