Tried searching this entire forum to see if there was already a post on this topic. If I missed it my apologies!
I'm open to comments on these two sets of buds. I've been a long-term user of the Shure e2c and find that they are great for my music tastes (deadhead with alot of shows - 100gb).
I recently upgraded to the e4cs - wasn't crazy about the foamies that came with it so I modified the stems to accept the original e2c orange foamies - Don't like that the yellow foamies came in only one size - about the equivalent to the medium orange. I prefer the large Orange to get the best ear seal.
I really like the e4cs - I think they bring our better overall tones through the audio spectrum. They are a bit light in the bass.
I noticed the super.fi 5 pro and have heard good things about them. Checked them out at the apple store but wasn't crazy about the thinness of the chords and the hard plastic around the wires into the buds. I just learned on their website that if the wire goes you can actually buy a replacement - someone should tell Shure to do the same thing since this is the #1 issue with all of their earphones.
Any one have comments regarding these two paires in terms of pure sound quality?
THANKS
