hi guys just wondered if anyone could give me a bit of advice?
i listen to a lot of hip hop on my ipod, my favourite tunes been neptunes produced tracks!
anyway im looking for some new headphones and because of my music taste "adequate" bass is a must!
i currently use sony erx71s and am really pleased with them, but having just ordered a 5g ipod i want to upgrade my phones aswell!
im looking at the etymotic er6i but just wonder how good the bass response is?
the other main option is the ultimate ears super fi.3?
any other sugggestions would also be considered although id like them to be white?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
cheers

If you use MP3 Gain to normalise and stop clipping of your tracks then you would probably be impressed with the standard iPod headphones, which are white already. You'll probably have to use the Bass Boost in the EQ to get the exact sound you want.

They produce bass accurately. They don't exaggerate bass like most people prefer. A possibility is that you haven't inserted them deep enough. They need to be in your ear canal and they need a good seal to perform properly.

The seal is clutch. The earphones are great in my opinion. The bass is there, to get it a little exagerrated just adjust the EQ setting to Hip-Hop or Bass Booster. I set mine to Hip-Hop.
