I saw that www.trendygeek.com is going to be releasing an invisible shield for the video pods, but was wondering if anyone had any experience with their photo/color shields. How is the screen? Any distortion?

that looks quite nice. almost better than the nano one from power support. I might get that for the back and power support for the front

Does anyone have any experience with this? I would just like to know if it leaves any kind of residue after it is taken off?

Well I know they said that.. but I want to know from a paying customer.. not the actual company selling the product.

The shield Trendy Geek is selling looks to be a static cling product, and not reselling the Invisible Shield.

The Trendy Geek products for the 4G's and older is static cling vinyl and covers the screen, back and sides and bottom (but not over the dock connector). There is no adhesive used at all in this product. In fact, I just clean them by running them under the faucet with a little dish soap to clean and then reuse them and they are like brand new. You get 3 full sets for the price. But yes, they do cover the sides and bottom, not the top where the headphone jack and hold switch is.

It will be interesting to see how this one works for the 5G video as the cling vinyl screen protector distorts the screen contents a bit on my B&W ipods (kinda shimmery looking). I also see that their 5G video model covers the entire front of the ipod ... I might order one to test out. Hopefully it doesn't distort that beautiful color screen!

im thinking of buyying this just for the back protection and may use a regular PDA screen protector for the front since it has screen problems.

Can anyone confirm if the TG protector works in the Agent 18 case?
I had a TG for my 40gb and it covered the sides and left no residue. Actually, it left it so perfect I sold it on ebay for $275 out the door.

I actually just recieved these about a week ago and I was disappointed to find that they AREN'T the static cling ones I have fancied in the 4G shield. It instead uses the soap and water method. In short, I believe it's much like a IS or BSE from the stuff I've seen on the forums. However, it's more prone to scratching since mine started too a little during application when I was pushing the water out with a lens cloth over a card. It's pretty thin and I've only tested it's fit in an exo silicone case. It comes in a pack of three for 12.99 so it's not that bad of a deal, but the shield isn't permanent. It protects much of the iPod's body except for small areas on the corners and the clickwheel parts are separate so you can choose whether to apply them or not. The surface isn't textured as the other ones are as it's completely smooth. If you guys have any questions about em, I'd be happy to try my best to answer them.

That is a complete shame that they switched from static to water applications. That is not what the sales person told me. I even said I am not going to buy if it's a water application cover. He never once said it was or was not, he just said it covered the front and he wasn't sure if it fit with the agent 18.

one more question..how's the clickwheel protection?

I'm not sure if you want to downgrade from a BSE to a TrendyGeek. My brother's shield got scratched up pretty bad over the screen after about a week of use without any other case over it. Mine is still lookin' pretty good though with minor scratches everywhere on the shield because I'm also using that sleeve that came with the iPod. If the BSE is like the IS by the fact that it can't scratch that easily or at all, I don't think you should replace yours with these.
I'm not too sure about the clickwheel protection since I decided not to apply it, it'll probably just cover original the matte finish.

blah.

do they make ANY shields exactly like the orig iPod film?

I really want the click wheel covered, but I don't want a stupid extra circle crap that most offer, lol.

since a lot of people complain about it not stickin etc.. I want one solid film for the front..
