It seems I can only stream them from iTunes.

You need QuickTime Pro to be able to save them on your hard drive.

Actually, I saw a way to use this online thing to enter the address and it creates an instant link for you to do "Save as" or something like that. Just get the link by right-clicking on the trailer link first I think, then make an internet link thing to click on and save as.

I haven't used this app, but its worth a shot.
Here is the description:

iGetMovies will copy them to your Desktop.

I just went to Apple's Quicktime site, loaded a movie in the browser and saved it to disk... then I can convert it in QT Pro.
