How To Convert Videos into iTunes

in response to a common problem where itunes is not playing video, or not playing audio. this should work to play both video and audio.

- whether you have wmv, avi, mpg, or whatnot, this SHOULD work.

- quicktime pro should be used to export your files into ipod format.

convert all your files into m4v format. this can be done using PSP Video 9. a free download at pspvideo9 DOT com

after trancoding your files into m4v, open the file in quicktime pro. under File, select export. choose export into ipod format. save and the file should start exporting. upon completion, the video file should now be ready to be placed in itunes. add the file into itunes and it should be ready to play. video AND audio.

One More Thing...

after transcoding your file, it should read "trancoding complete"

then go into mycomputer>C:/>Program Files>pspvideo9>MP_Root>100MNV01

the m4v file should be in there. open and export. should be exported to desktop. then ready to be transfered to itunes.

this is by far the easiest way to import movies of all types into itunes. only backdrop is that pspvideo cannot convert in batch. each video must be converted one at a time. quicktime also exports one at a time. it can be a slow process, but you can do this while you carry on your daily routine on the computer.

Hi,

if i already have mp4 that plays on my PSP. Can I not use it and download it into the vPod using iTunes or do I have to use quicktime Pro to convert one more time? Thanks.

i have VOB files where i use PSP video 9 to convert to mp4 files to play on my PSP. Thanks. So I'm hoping I can simply sync te mp4 to the new video iPod using iTunes.
