View Full Version : Can't transfer purchased music to IPod...

...a pop-up says that my IPod software is "too old" and that I have to download the latest version of software in order to put ITunes purchased music on my mini. The problem is that I AM running the latest software (1.4) which is confirmed when I run Updater.

My mini has been acting very flaky for a while now (locking up while playing song, frequent resets req.), but this is a new problem that stinks. Any ideas? Until now I have been reluctant to reset to factory settings because I have a lot of music from a friend's ITunes. Thoughts?

Do you have the latest version of iTunes? That could perhaps be the problem. If not, I would recommend doing a full restore on your iPod and see if that fixes the problem. Just make sure all of your songs are backed up prior to doing this, as it will erase all of the music on your ipod.

I do have the latest iTunes...I guess I will try the restore.
