i'm looking into the iskin or jam case for my 3rd 30gig...
i was wondering if iskin or jam alone is sufficient enough to protect the ipod....which one seems to protect the ipod better..?

i see that some ppl use more than one case to protect their ipod...if the ipod had either a iskin or jam will it still fit in other cases...
who uses two cases and what two cases are the best combination to be used..?

I use the Jam Jacket with the Booq nappa case. It works very well. I dropped the iPod in a parking lot this last weekend and it bounced several times before stopping. Amazingly, it is OK and has no scratches or dents thanks to the double cases. I'm a believer!

i use the iskin and a complete zip neoprene (sp?) case that i put my skinned ipod in along with my earbuds. that works out nicely in my backpack

I use my exo mainly for everyday use. Im also using my speck flipstand as a heavy duty case, for like when i go to school. If i know its not gonna need protection against bumps or anything ill use the zip case that came with my exo just to keep it with out many scratches.

i'm a bit new to my iskin so i keep changing the colours :) but i keep my pod in the iskin, and then in the macclear case that came with it (pics available on this thread http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11881 ) Like bb_dg, I like keeping the remote & buds together with the pod. Also, if I just chucked the pod into my handbag with just the skin, i'd be worried that my keys would scratch the wheel/buttons :) i'm busy investigating some kinda cling film to cover them (as used by jim_m i think?!)

i've been looking as well:

the wrap - http://www.jrhillandcompany.com/foripods/index.html
the body mask - http://www.techreactions.com/ipod/
the iPodwrap - http://www.photo-control.com/bookendz/ipodwrap.htm
the Podpac - http://podpac.bizhosting.com/

unfortunately the Podpac now only comes as a pattern for which you have to find the material, so i just haven't got rund to hunting down the right cling material yet.

I'm hoping that DLO update their iScreen Transparent Protector at http://www.everythingipod.com/

If you find anything else please let me know : )

since i have a original ipod 5 gig i use a incase trifold but they make some good leather cases then i slide it in a small camera case that can hold the carger the ipod earbuds firewire and the fm transmitter all at a 7 buck price.

Just an update - I stole one of my boyfriend's ipaq screen protectors and it seems to do a pretty nice job. You can't see that it's on under an exo and it'll definately keep the buttons/wheel protected from scratches from my keys!
