ipod is corrupt in windows

i have already had my ipod replaced once. i want to try and fix this one, or else i will end up having to buy the ipod care plan ( my year warranty is up), i can update my ipod on the macs at school fine....now the problem is i have two computers at home, and none of them will update it. i get a little bubble saying that its is corrupt and unreadable, and when this happens my ipod goes from the disk mode screen, to the main menu screen, and my harddrive on the ipod will be erased. this is extremely annoying and i have no ####ing idea what the problem is, im very unhappy with both ipods so far. please help me before i waste more money trying to fix the problem.

Maybe you should just restore the iPod on the PC so that it's windows formatted and set it to manual if your gonna use it on more than one computer.
