Hello everyone.... I hope you can help me!

I just moved back to PC-land from Mac, and while I hope to get linux up and running, that has fallen to the wayside... so windows it is. My ipod was mac formatted and so obviously wouldn't run on this windows system. I was advised to use MacOpener to begin the transfer process, so I downloaded it and did that.

Well, now my ipod won't charge when plugged into the AC adaptor. It won't be recognized as a drive through firewire or USB. It is NONEXISTENT. How do I fix this? I need to get it up and running so I can have my music back. (Yes, I do realize it was all erased from the pod).

Am I completely screwed?

I do know that it isn't a driver thing. My camera works when plugged into (mini) firewire. Printers and such work when plugged into the USB ports. It is most definitely the iPod.

:-\

TIA for your help...

Welcome. First, reset the iPod then see if it will connect. If it does use the Updater and restore the iPod back to factory settings.

I can't get into any sort of menu so that I *could* reset. I only go as far as the apple on the screen and no further...
