inMotion 5 and naviPro EX???

I plan on buying the new inMotion 5 speaker system, and am glad that it comes without a remote, because I want one anyways that I can use without the speakers. I currently ahve a naviPod for my 1st gen iPod and it works beautifully, I use it in the bathroom. Whenever I take a bath, I put the remote in a ziplock bag and set it on a soap dish just next to the tub. The remote can still work through the plastic, and even though it gets slightly wet, that hasn't effected it. Anyways, I'm wonderign if the naviPro for full sized iPods will a.) work with the Altec Lansing speakers, aka able to control volume, change playlists, shuffle, ect and B.) I know that TEN technology has a version made specially for the iPod mini, but in the future I don't want to buy another remote, so is there anything preventing me from using the remote meant for full sized iPods on my mini?

I have sent TEN an email stating almost exactly what I just wrote here, but so fat they haven't responded.
