i tunes does not recognize artist with " the"

i tunes does not recognize artists with 'the' .it arranges them like this.

ac/dc
the roses
blim
the ..
creed

Why ? ive done everything possible to arrange them in alphabetical order,this and that but it still refuses to arrange certain artist with "the".as a result even my ipod becomes disorganised.Please help
