So I was using a Anapod on my 2nd machine to play music from my iPod on. After bringing it back to my primary machine (where iTunes is the player), many of my songs playcounts are royally screwed up.

I have a backup of my database and was able to restore everything back to its correct playcount, last played dates, etc. in the iTunes Library. However, my ipod still shows screwed up counts, dates, etc. (Yes, I have my setup to MANUALLY UPDATE my iPod).

So here's my question. How do I FORCE the iPod to ignore the screwed up changes on the iPod and to ONLY update the iPod from the information found in the Library? I don't want a two-way update, I want to do a ONE-WAY update from the Library to the iPod. How would I do that?

PS - I'm using iTunes 5.0. Anapod version was 8.9.1 (their latest) and likely my last time using that product. :-(
Thanks.

Just realized my original entry this morning was rushed as I ran out of the house for work. What I was asking is how do I tell iTunes to update my iPod and IGNORE any changes on the iPod itself? Thus, how do I get it to do a ONE-WAY (from iTunes to iPod) update rather than the typical 2-way update? Thanks.

As far as I know there is no way to make iTunes do what you want. The only thing I can think of is to restore the iPod first using the updater and then resync the iPod to iTunes since that is the info you want on the iPod.

Honeybee, I'm not sure what you mean by "restore the ipod first using the updater". What does that mean? Can you be more specific? Thanks

OK after a quick search, I now know what updater is all about. I guess now I just need to know that if it deletes everything on my iPod, will it then simply reload it with everything in my iTunes? I'll begin to look for my answer, but if someone can answer in the meantime, I'd appreciate it. ;-)

Yes, it deletes everything on your Ipod, and then the next time you Sync with Itunes, you should be back in business...
