...iPOD that won't talk to a PC!

I need help!

I’ve just taken delivery of a shiny new 20Gb colour iPOD. I took it out of the box and in my excitement I followed the ‘destructions’ and installed the necessary onto my work laptop PC. Everything works perfectly. Great…

But…the majority of my music is at home – on my home PC. Here is where I have a problem. I installed the software onto my home PC (which I already used iTUNEs on), plugged in my iPOD. Nothing…

Basically my home PC will see my iPOD as a HD but neither iTUNEs or iPOD updater detect the iPOD. I get no error messages along the lines of ‘iPod Service Error’

My latptop and home PC both run Win XP with SP2 and connect to iPOD using USB 2.0. The only difference with my home PC is I had to install a USB 2.0 PCI card and drivers.

So far I’ve tried (on my home PC)

Resetting iPOD
Reinstalling iTUNES
Reinstalling iPOD software
Reinstalling my USB 2.0 PCI card and drivers

I've also tried everything on the apple support pages(docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93716) without any luck.

Any help would be gratefully received

Cheers

If it sees the iPod in my computer then what letter is the iPod showing up as? You may need to change it.
