A question that probably has a very obvious answer.

This is probably a very silly question, but I like to know as much as I can before I get into anything.

So here goes; Do you need to specify Windos or Mac when buying an ipod or are they universal until you format it to one or the other? Afterwards being only on that platform.

I guess in the simplest terms do I need to ask for mac or windows when buying? Thanks ^_^

No you do not need to ask for a windows or mac ipod. It is until you format it that it becomes windows or mac.

That is what I had hopped for. It's also what I had figured but I'd rather be safe and know before hand.
