View Full Version : ipod & Outook calendar -- daylight savings time?

I have been able to sync my Oulook calendar onto my iPod (iTunes 5.0.1.4)

However, my appointments in November, and December are off by one hour. I will be late for everything.

My thought is that this has something to do with Outlook or Windows knowing something about Daylight Savings and iPod getting confused.

Anyone else find this? Have you a work-around, or a settings change to help?

Thanks,

Lloyd

Well, here is what I have figured out.

If I turn off the "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" setting under the Time Zone tab on the Windows clock, iPod will get the correct appointment times.

Then, unfortunately, my Outlook calendar changes my appointments so that, for example, all day events now go from 11pm one day to 11pm the next day and are listed in two days.

So what I am doing is: First changing the Windows clock setting, then updating the iPod, and then changing the Windows setting back. Not elegant but not impossibly difficult either.

bump

I am having the exact same problem!

Has anyone been able to develop a solution to keep the iPod in sync with Outlook after the clocks get changed for daylight savings time?

How did you even get your Calender to sync, I have a new 5G, with Outlook 2003, all I get is a message saying it will not sync Calender.
