Look what I found! (Hint: removal of volume cap)

A beta of goPOD that works with the iPod Nano is out now! Just google it and look up one of the first deutch sites, you will find the link in the #1 post.

It worked great with my Nano, and now it plays REALLY loud. I think this is an much better alternative than euPOD or MP3gain, as they modify audible data. This app just alters the firmware ( a couple of numbers or something i guess ) to raise the volume and the enjoyment.

No it won't void the warranty, it's software and it can be reversed. UK iPods have a volume cap that the US iPods don't have so they use this software to remove it.

isnt a volume cap good? doesnt that keep your ears from going bad? how do iget this volume cap...

You can't actually get that cap. You can make sure the volume doesn't get passed a certain point though by not putting it passed that.

Has anyone noticed how quiet these things are? Even with iPodVolumeBooster I have to turn it up much higher than I used to with my 60gig photo.. I used to be fine with 50% or so, now it's closer to 75%, and that's with the boost.
