show playlist on screen?

I was wondering if I hook an ipod to my video system in my car, what will it show on the screen. I've looked around and it seems that hooking the ipod to a tv will show photos on a tv, but will it show anything else. Can I get the playlist, album arts to show on the screen.
Basically, is there any way to allow for me to get what is see on the ipod screen to transfer to my monitor in my vehicle. I have an adapter that will accept video/audio rcas, just wondering if it will work. Kinda like the new harman kardon drive+play device...

Nope, I'm afraid not. The video output capabilities in the iPod are limited to displaying photo slideshows at this point.

It's possible that Apple may address this in a future firmware upgrade. It wouldn't hurt to make a feature request over at Apple's iPod Feedback page (http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipod.html).
