cassette adaptor = right speaker only

Hi - I have purchased three different cassette adaptors now. They either don't play out of my left speaker at all, or only very faintly. I at first thought it was the fault of the adaptor, but they all work in my husband's car.

Does this indicate a problem with my car's stereo system? The dealer says no (but of course they would.)

I am not really interested in tearing my car apart for a hardwired solution, as the car is still under warranty and this would void the stereo component warranty.

Its almost definately the car whether it be the cassette player or the speakers I dont know.

The tape 'head' in the adaptor needs to be correctly aligned with the one in the HU; if it's off you can loose one channel.

Does the HU work with standard cassettes? That'd be the first thing I'd check - if it doesn't then the dealer needs to sort it out for you.
