Well first off find out the model number of your stereo. Then look around on the net to see if your model number takes an adapter for an aux input. Take my stereo for instance I have an alpine and I knew when I purchased it that it had an aux input. I had to look around on the net to find a cable for it. My ipod Nano works like a charm and sounds great.

Red and White are usally amp outs. My Alpine has it's own special input for the aux. Once again find the model number of your stereo look up the owners manual and see if your specific model supports an aux input. Just do a little research and you will find out.
