Hey everyone.

I have a question concerning the Griffin iTrip.

I have a 20GB Photo iPod, and I'd like to purchase the iTrip FM Transmitter. I noticed on the package, the requirements indicated that a "Dock Connector" was required in order to use the iTrip.

What the heck is a Dock Connector? Does it mean one of those little square things that look like a charging base for the iPod? Does it mean that wire that comes with the iPod that connects the iPod to the computer through USB?

Thanks in advance.

I think that you have misread the package. What it is saying that the iTrip is compatible with iPods which have the dock connector, that is the sort of connector that is at the bottom of your iPod. The iTrip plugs into the headphone socket at the top taking its power from the small socket next to it. It does not actually use the docking connector at the base of the iPod.

I strongly recommend a car charger/dock charger. Griffin says the itrip "works well" with a charger, but I found it doesn't work at all without one. It even had trouble about a metre from my the stereo in the lounge. It works great now.
