View Full Version : Anyone want a white Speck Skin Tight Deluxe for around $20 (instead of $30)?

I'm going to preorder the Speck Skin Tight Deluxe (http://speckproducts.com/nano-skintight-deluxe.html) case because I like how it's protective and has a nice belt clip. Instead of getting one for $25 + shipping (which I'll assume is ~$5, for a total of $30), I figured I could buy the the 2 pack and split it with someone to save us both some money. I would like the black, so you would get the white.
Here's how I'm thinking it will go:
$35 for both cases
+$5 for shipping
= $40 total
+$2 shipping to you
= $42 total
I will split that cost exactly with you (whatever the final actual cost is), so you'd pay around $21, which should be a savings of about $9 or around 30% off the cost of buying just one.
And just so you feel better about sending a stranger money, you can check out my perfect ebay feedback (username = mtnagel) and know that I have been around here for awhile and I'm not going anywhere, so you will not get screwed.
Please let me know as soon as possible as I'd like to get it quick, so I'd like to get in their pre-sale early to hopefully get it sent quicker.
Also, just to note there is a chance that between now and when it ships, that a better case may come out, so I reserve to right to cancel my pre-sale, but I will let you know.
Matt

Well, I already put in the pre-order for the 2 cases. The total came to $41.90 after shipping, so if you add in a couple bucks for shipping to you, you could have the case for around $22 instead of $31 for 1 (a savings of 29%!). Also note that they call the case clear, not white as I did, so it may look cool on either one.

Woa, do those even cover the whole iPod? It looks like it just "grabs" the sides of the nano like the iPod mini belt clip did...
:(
I want something that will cover EVERYTHING: every port except for headphones.

I was looking at getting that skin possibly, so I'd probably be willing to pay for the other one.
They do cover everything except for the click wheel and screen, right?

I want something that will cover EVERYTHING: every port except for headphones. It comes with a vinyl skin and a belt clip, so it's pretty much completely covered except for the click wheel.
And I already found someone that will buy the other case.

...Iono if they cover everything. If they cover screen+front+back+sides fully, I would get it.
By that I mean like iSkin coverage.
BUt those pics show a "curve" around the sides of the nano, like if the case ended there or something...
Still thinking it jus "grabs" the sides. :o (Being stubborn)

How can you not have a problem with that? Lol--If it just left from the top of the front above the screen all the way down OPEN, then it really defeats the purpose of a protective case because--well, it doesn't protect the most important visible part: the screen!

SUE-ICK-IGH-DOS!!! I know it's hard to tell from their drawings (http://speckproducts.com/images/nano/nano-skindeluxe-l.jpg) but it does cover everything including the screen (except the scroll wheel). When the belt clip attachment isn't attached, then the sides are unprotected, but I will mostly use the clip, so that's not a problem. If you don't think you'd use a belt clip, then they make a skin that covers everything but the scroll wheel (http://speckproducts.com/images/nano/skintight-3-pack-l.jpg) with no belt clip.

Oh, OK.
But I am pretty sure that the case should cover the back w/out the belt clip... or at least I hope... so...?
It would be impractical, and pretty hard to make a nano stay inside a cover that only covers the front.
I really wouldn't want a hard case for my nano though, despite how cool those clear crystals would look.
