Since no one aswered me on my previous thread about the E2c vs Koss fit, I will give my impressions after making the purchase. I bought the E2c and tried them out during lunch. The fit was horrible with the silicone and the rubber inserts. After just a few seconds the seal was lost and the sound of course degraded. The fit was much better with the foam inserts but I found the sound to be tinny and lacking in bass with any and all the inserts. I took them back to Best Buy and replaced them with Sony MDR-EX71s. These fit great with good (not great) bass and smoother highs and mid range.

Not to insult anyone who purchased high end earphones, but I find it absurd to spend as much or more on earphones as my iPOD cost. $299 for earphones is just excessive to me. That is my opinion.

If I could find earphones with good bass and smooth highs for around $100, I would purchase them, but for now the Sonys work for me.

I guess that I will use the MDR-EX71s for my jazz music and the Koss Spark Plugs for my classic rock.

Oh man, you should have tried some more with e2c at least for a week. You will definitely find a way to get comfortable fit. I got my shure e4c and it took me like several days to figure out how to put that thing in my ear canal comfortablely. The sound, of course, is unbelieveable.

Anyway, glad you like sony mdr-ex71.
