For me, it has to be "Oh Yoko" by John Lennon. It's such an upbeat tune :)

I Got You Babe. Sonny and Cher. I currently listen to the version I and a good friend sang at an amusment park recording studio place. Always puts me in a good mood when I'm feeling down... Until I get to the part where I hit a wrong note... Oh well. It still is a good mood feeling song!

Cheers,

I Believe I Can Fly - R. Kelly

Great song... but it's too bad it's from a guy with a bad wrap.

I like the version of I Got You, Babe that UB40 does with Chrissy Hynde from the Pretenders.

My current feel good song is Down on the Corner by Johnny Marr.

I like Relm WeepyLoop by McVaffe. It's a free download from remix.overclocked.org under Final Fantasy VI. There is a lot of free music from almost any game you can think of there. Castlevania, all of the Final Fantasys, Chrono Cross, Super Metroid, everything. Even Tetris.

Anything by "The Boss" it seems that whenever you've got a problem there is a Bruce Springsteen song that will help you clear it up. Something I noticed the other day!

I was planning to make a mix tape once, ranging from the happiest song I knew to the saddest.

My candidate for happiest was "Pop Goes The World" by Men Without Hats, and in second place "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel.

The Smiths' "I Know It's Over" was candidate for saddest. :p

Kinda weird choices but here goes...

"If I Lose my Faith" - Nickel Creek
"Duck and Run" and "The Road I'm On" - 3 Doors Down
"Comfort Eagle" - Cake
"This Picture" - Placebo
"Stupid Girl" - Cold
"Butterfly in Reverse" - Counting Crows
and pretty much anything by Counting Crows.

Hmmm... so many good songs, how do I decide? I'd probably say

The Laws Have Changed - The New Pornographers
Hands Down - Dashboard Confessional
This Side - Nickel Creek

Oh - and Guster's new album "Keep it Together"

Linkin Park - One Step Closer

There's just something about hearing someone scream "Shut up!" 15 times that's somehow uplifting. Maybe it's just me.

The title of this thread is "Current songs that..." not "Songs that currently...". I've seen people post stuff from as long ago as the 60s! LOL!.

For current songs, I'm gonna go with Jane's Addication's "Just Because" and the White Stripe's "Seven Nation Army". JBoth are just excellent, rocking singles.
