Just got mine today. The thing is super small and the screen is the perfect size. I love it. It doesnt feel flimsy at all and I wouldnt mind taking it to the gym once the case come out. I feel bad for all those people that got those clunky mini's especially if you got your only a couple of months ago. This thing is revolutionary. The sound in the speakers is great just as good as the mini's if not better. The on screen photo quality is very nice, it a hell of a lot better than any pixel quality of a camera phone. Overall I like it. Sure the headphone jack is on the bottom, but its really not that big of a deal, you have a big enough cord not to have to worry about it being an issue. I recommend anyone and everyone to get this product if they can get there hands on it. Dont delay rumors have it that if you dont get it with the first couple of weeks of it being out, you wont be able to order one til after christmas. Goodluck getting one!

Yes, it can be used as a mass storage device. Does having a 6 month old shuffle and a 13 month old 3G with a dying battery warrant me getting one of these...?

If anyone has any other questions feel free and ask away. Id be glad to help.

...like a Shuffle, or like a regular iPod?

i.e. upon autosync, does it erase songs on the nano that are not present on the computer that you are connecting it to?

::::I feel bad for all those people that got those clunky mini's especially if you got your only a couple of months ago.::::

Oh Please stop....ill keep my Blue cool looking mini with no finger prints or hair line scratches all over the backing...

i love yet hate my 20gb ipod, the white and the steel/chrome backing sucks.....

headphone jack on the bottom,&*^%#**.....

ill wait for a mini, nano that comes in colors with the phone-jack on top,one that holds 3,000 songs.

then ill feel bad for you.

Good question.

Can you use autofill on the nano? My music collection is 10.34 GB and i'd probably get a 2GB nano, so autofill would be handy.

Yea its just like the Mini in that sense...I dont know why Apple doesnt keep that fuction from happening. Its really annoying if your trying to download a song at a friends house and all your songs will have to disappear if he doesnt have them on his comp!

Yea you can auto fill it, I auto filled it with 20 songs just for starters.

I love Pinkie and will signify the love by adding a new partner. The nano has everything I was looking for in a gym mate but couldn't find in the Pinkie, and didn't even want to find in the Shuffle.

Do you mean just like the Shuffle? I'm confused....

Is the coating on the iPod nano the same as the one of the full size iPod? I found that it scratched and got fingerprints on it quite easily when I had my 20gb.

autosync remains the same as it always have. Song not on comp means song gone from nano. Use manual update to prevent loss of songs.

Yes, but the Shuffle doesn't support manual update. I'm wondering if the nano does or does not support manual update...

Just got mine today too! The Apple stores in San Francisco seem to have stocked up on them... I have yet to open the box but I'm very excited! I played with the one the worker had at the Apple store, and compared both white and black.. I love the black one so that is the one I had to get. The thing is incredibly thin, and the screen isn't hard to read at all. The pictures given on Apple's website didn't do the screen any justice. I'm glad I patiently waited to buy my first Ipod for use, because I love this thing

Its as studo said nugent. Roycey as far as the fingerprinting goes. Yes its the same case as the ipod so it does tend to smudge up. Thats its biggest flaw. But when case come out, Im going to buy one, so this issue really wont be that big of an issue at all, at least not for me.

Hey sixth is yours a 2gb or 4gb....I had to go to 3 different sotres for my 4g b....its seems like the majority of the stores are only getting the black 2 gbs in. Did you have that problem too?

I have a 4GB Black.. My store seemed to have several left in stock.. Before I arrived and called the store, the worker told me they were going pretty quick.

One thing im trying to find out... sorry if this is a stupid question. Will the nano fit into a 3G dock, as I have a dock and a set of Logic 3 speakers which id like to use with it but im not 100% sure about conectivity.

I think it might work because it comes with an adaptor that will allow you to use it regular ipod and ipod mini docks and accessories if i understand it right.

Can one of you early adopters confirm it doesn't suffer from the same sound distortion as in iPod color/photo when listening to Piano solos? A good song to try out is James Blunt, "Goodbye My Lover". Please use the original Apple ear buds when testing. Thank you.

It sucks to have gotten twice the storage space, a faster storage medium, longer lasting battery, sturdier, scratch resistant case, and firewire support for the exact same price two months ago eh?

Better call the dictionary, they've got it all wrong.

Some people don't need that. The nano is flash, so perfect for working out... and I think it looks better than the mini.

I personally love my iPod. I have no intentions of selling it or trading for a nano whatsoever. The nano's cool, whatever...but the original iPod will still pwn.

Maybe a nano as a little sibling to my iPod when it's too old to work right. Haha. Or maybe a Shuffle or Photo. .. or Video. :-P

I'd consider selling my Mini and getting a Nano, except for that the Nano isn't compatable with an iTrip, which I paid plenty of money for.

Hey - simple question - does the black nano come with black headphones, or white?
