great article at Engadget.com

About how when Moto execs where pressed on the issue that Moto is not exclusive (just first) with anIpod phone they were amibivolent to say the least and not too happy about the question

Even they had their own questions of how this was public knowledge and it is an internal proprietary information (menining not for mere mortals like us)

Basically Motorola does not want anyone knowing that all they have is an 18 month exclusivity Roadmap

in the mean time an new iPod phone from SONY, SAMSUNG (flip phone will be the best) LG any Maker

Basically wait for the much improved SAMSUNG flip iPod phone

Well I am for one glad to hear that the moto won't be the only phone. I think the razor would be great with it, but overall I'd like the new nokia flip phones to have it. That'll be my next phone!

Somehow I doubt that Sony would release an iTunes phone, as it would be in direct competition with their Walkman phone ;)

Aye, but Sony aren't in the healthiest of financial shapes - they know they screwed up big time by missing the MP3 player market totally (the man in the street calls any MP3 player an "iPod" not a "Walkman" as with tape/CD personal stereos). They may just be tempted to do it. After all, they eventually, far too late, reluctantly, begrudgingly, under lots of pressue, allowed their solid-state music players to support (even if not fully) MP3.
