I have noticed that a good way to listen to your iPod in a class where its not allowed or just anywhere where its not allowed. People witch the shure line headphones wrap them around the ear like their supposed to and down the back. People who wear hats alot and have longer hair can get away with this extremely easily. But you must make sure that you dont have the "seal" extremely air tight because then you wont hear anyone and when someone asks you something and you dont respond they will find out your wearing them.

Most class teachers will allow you to listen to it as long as you consisitently get your work done.

Why even go to class if you're just going to listen to music?

Just pay attention in class. You may learn something.

Typically, my teachers allow it if and when we are doing solo-classwork/homework. I haven't nor will I ever even consider listening to my iPod in class during discussions and such as it shows extreme disrespect to the teacher and your classmates.

It's meant for tests and homework time during class.

Not for during discussions because I agree that class is to learn and not listen to music. But many students like to listen to music while taking tests or doing homework as it calms them down and helps them focus.

Agreed. It's actually been proven that music helps stimulate the mind and actually helps people get work done.

How hard would it be to make a recording of you saying all the formulas or whatever you need for the test and then listening to that while to take it?

I'm opposed.

Well thats something that teachers will work out with their students. Obivously you would not give this privilge to a kid who has been caught cheating before. I am talking about good kids assuming that kids these days are actually good citizens and not cheaters. And if they do that it will only hurt them and when it comes time for a bigger test like the SATS they wont be able to record anything and they will flunk. Someone could just as easily find another way to cheat their way through tests and well school. But like I said most kids would be respectful and not cheat, but those who choose to hurt themselves.

It has been proven in many studies that music does help people get work done, everything has its pros and cons.

i dont really have to hide it since most of my teachers dont care.

but a good way to listen to music in class is to get those ultimate ear custom molded ones in clear or skin tone colour. When the teacher asks, just say u they are hearing aids and u need them :D

I would just pay attention in class. You will be a lot, and I mean A LOT sorrier later when you find out you have to repeat or something along the lines of that. I also got screwed over once for using a palm pilot to organize, so I'm pretty sure an Ipod is worse....
