Firewire support gone?

What's the deal with no Firewire. Is it just not published or have they actually given up on firewire? I want to get a nano, but if there is no firewire support it might be a deal breaker. I don't mind if it doesn't come with the firewire cuz I have two from previous iPods but I don't shell out money for a USB 2.0 card for my G4 PowerMac and slower transfer speeds than i've had for years.

all iPods use the same connector cable, so im sure you';ll be able to use your firewire-iPod cable just fine. You'll just have a USB-iPod cable laying around the house.
