Nano Compatible With Ipod Camera Connector?

So we're told that we can view photos on the iPod Nano, but is it compatible with the Apple Ipod Camera Connector? Or do the photos have to be uploaded to iPhoto first to be viewed?

No. Photos will sync from your computer, but the camera connector or Belkin Media Reader will not work.
