Apple talks about their new apple tube cases, but I'm surpised to find out there was no mention of any kind of belt clip.

Does anyone know if it has a belt clip?

Also, does anyone know of any other companies that have made plans to market cases for the nano? I'm really interested in new accessories before I go off and just buy a nano.

:)

According to one of the things I've read about the nano release, there are various companies who are already working on/have nano accessories for release. The first of which is bound to be cases.
I don't think the tube has a belt clip. For one its isn't mentioned in the item description on the Apple website, and I think they've designed it for wear with the lanyard headphones.

I've already orderd my nano, but I won't be getting the tubes - I need a case with screen protection. Due to its thinness I'm expecting there to be some brilliant case designs out there - case designs that previously made the iPod too bulky - which won't be the case with the nano!

I think we'll see product announcements within days from the major case players (iSkin et al)

I am new, so not sure if macskinz comes in here, but I sure hope they get their nano skinz out quick. I know they are STILL having problems getting the iBook skinz out. *grumble, grumble*

I just ordered a white 4GB nano and am concerned with the availability of cases... don't want to get it all scratched up by the time a nice case comes out.

I think I actually like the Apple Tubes b/c I think they're thin enough to allow syncing via the dock without removing the case. As far as the screen protection, I think iSkin and few other places sell clear static-adhesive screen protectors for iPod mini... the screen is the same size on the nano, and the protectors are thin enough to use with cases such as the Apple Tubes.

But, I think one can just use a clear business card "sheet protector" like the ones that come in planners and calendars... nano is not as wide as the card so the leftower space should accomodate its thickness... this should work as a temporary protector for your nano untill the new cases roll out.

Does anyone know if the Nano Tubes are translucent or opaque? Reason I ask is I'm going to get the black Nano, and I'm not sure how good it'll look with anything other than the clear tube. Has anyone seen any pictures of the black Nano adorned with color Nano Tubes?

I've been wondering the same thing. Pastel tubes are not going to look good on a black background if they aren't opaque. I hope the tubes are released in brighter/darker colors that will compliment a black background (red, royal blue, kelly green, etc.).

I wish my nano came with a belt clip simliar that comes with the ipod mini. I love my nano, but don't want to hold it constantly. Wish there were more options for us, but who's complaining, we got a nano:)

Mine will come on Monday (I hope!) and I plan to use one of my leather business card holders for it. I've measured everything o ut and any standard sized business card holder should work beautifully. I've a Mont Blanc gorgeous black leather number that should be perfect!

That is precisely why I decided to go with white :)

that icewear case mentioned somewhere looks pretty decent with the black Nano. might be photoshopped, though, who knows.

Are you really sure about this? Because I want to use both of them too, but since I not really sure I might have to chose just one. I look up in apple website, it say nothing about that.

I not try to say that you right or worng here, I just want to know that any one have tried it yet? or any information found about using Tubes with Dock?

I'll be using my 60gigger's dock for syncing the nano, so I can keep it in case permamently. The Icewear is the one I'll be getting as I've had both the mini and full sized versions in the past, and its a great case. I've never been bothered by the lack of scroll wheel protection, but I would like something for the screen. We'll see what else will be coming out.... I think iSkin will produce something with a screen protector.....
