Welcome to the new iLounge Forums.
Please read the new iLounge Forum Policy (http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7588) before you post.

Forum Tips
Please take a few minutes to read the iLounge Forum Tips (http://www.ipodlounge.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7) - they have been posted to help you find what you want to know, quickly and easily.

With so many new iPod owners joining for the first time a lot of your questions have already been answered, either here or at the old forums, or in the iLounge FAQs (http://www.ipodlounge.com/faqs.php).

Old iPodlounge Forum.
There is a wealth of information posted over on the old forum (http://www.xsorbit1.com/users/dennx/index.cgi) and it is easy to search for. Please search the old forum before you post a message.

Posts which appear to have been made before the user has checked the new and old forums and the FAQs for the answer, or which violate the iLounge Forums Guidelines may be locked.

Posts which belong in another category may be moved.

Thank you, and happy posting!

Please place your post into the appropriate forum rather than just placing everything into the iPod General forum.

More and more posts are having to be moved -
Please do not use the "iPod - General" forum as a default "dumping ground" for any and all topics.

When starting a new topic, PLEASE stop to think which forum in which the topic belongs, and place it there.

There are platform and software specific forums for a reason - it makes it easier for everyone to find topics related to their area of interest. Plus, it will insure that your problem or question will reach the audience most likely to be able to help you.

Please remember - the "iPod - General" forum is intended for topics that relate to all iPods, regardless of platform or software used.

Remember - THINK before you POST!

Thanks for your cooperation!

Various "schemes" for free/cheap iPods or other electronics.

With the Forum Policy on this topic, and announcements in every forum on the site, we have made it clear that we will not tolerate the posting of links to this type of scheme.

Members who create accounts to merely post a referral link have been banned with no warning. It is obvious they are purely intent on spamming the forums.

Some iLounge members have attempted to outwit the word censor and post the URL for these schemes. Others have attempted to get around the measures we have in place by the use of s p a c i n g or w0rd ma5k1ng. These members may find themselves on a first and final warning for their activity or may even find themselves instantly banned at the discretion of the iLounge Moderators.

These schemes are all forms of viral marketing.
Most viral marketing plans use others resources to get the word out. Members who post messages and links to sites which feature the promise of free iPods are relaying the marketers message for them and they are using the resources of iLounge to do this rather than the marketers own.

Using our resources to get free advertising is not something we are willing to allow.
We will continue to remove posts which mention this scheme and we will continue to ban members who insist on abusing our forums in this manner.

NOTE: Where a 'report abuse' system exists we will report the spam/referral to the company in question, which will result in your account being cancelled.

Our intention is to keep the forums a place where information relating to the iPod can be easily found. To have to wade through pages of "Click on my referral link please" will adversely affect our forums, and it is something we refuse to allow to happen.

We are confident that all members of iLounge Forums support this stance by us and we will continue to try and maintain these forums as the No.1 source for "All Things iPod"
