I have four usb connections two in the front of the tower and two in the back. I am running windows 2000 professional. I tried to find out on my own but i get very confused. I go to " my computer" icon, i then right click and hit porperties and then click the hardware tab, from there i click the "device manager" button and click the "usb controllers" the this comes up:

- Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller

- Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller

- USB Root Hub

- USB Root Hub

Then each ones' driver version is 5.0.2183.1

Then i get confused all over again.

The easiest way to find out is to plug in your ipod. If it's not usb2 then your computer will tell you that you have plugged in a high-speed device into a low-speed connection.
If it says nothing, then it's usb2. (assuming it connects and sees your ipod ;))
