i just got my ipod yesterday and i thought you could transfer all your songs from windows media player right into itunes. how do you do that? plus, i can not find the folder that holds all of my WMP songs.

No you cannot use Windows Media Player you have to use iTunes. All of the songs for WMP have to be converted in itunes.

I had this dilemma too. I had bought music from Wal-Mart and WMP had brought the files down in WMA format. I simply burned the songs to CD then imported them into iTunes. I had to edit the song names and artist, album title, etc. because I tunes just recognized the CD tracks as Track 1, Track 2 etc. I imported 65 songs from WMP into iTunes this way.:D
