I have the following Problems:
Is it normal that it takes iTunes about 15seconds to recognize my iPod?? Cause that really sucks!
How can I turn off the automatic synchronization? Once there was a window with the choice: Automatic and Manual Synchro., but I clicked "manual" and it's synchronizing automatically nonetheless....
PLEASE help me! I beg you!:(

Yes unfortunately it can take a while for your ipod to be recognised by the computer, then itunes.
Re your manual/auto selection.
With your ipod connected ... you click Edit, preferences, then the ipod tab and you can choose what method you would like from there. The ipod needs to be in the left source field to change the settings.

iPOd recognition may take longer if your computer is slower, or indeed if you have large iPod, but considering how slow computers used to be, it doesn't really take that long. iTunes is a powerful program if used to it's full advantage, I hope you get to know its benefits soon!

I can run Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Outlook, and a handful of other programs at once and my computer doesn't get as slow as when I have iTunes (v6) running with just a browser open (not downloading anything). It's really slow to connect and disconnect also.

iTunes really slows down my computer as well. Be glad it only takes 15 seconds for your iPod to be recognized by it too. Try 1 MINUTE or more with mine. The computer recognizes it instantly but iTunes being the slow hog that it is, takes freakin ages! But yeah, its also cuz my computer aint the fastest around of course. :(
