apple screen from hell!

40 GB Photo freezes @ Apple logo with backlight on and tries to restart over and over...frozen, whats going on?!?

-How are you connecting to the computer - FW/USB?
-What letter is the iPod showing up as in my computer if windows?
-Have you restored the iPod yet?

I am using Windows98se...all drivers installed, running ephpod to transfer music all was working fine.

I connect using USB.

The ipod wont show up as anything now. If i remember correctly im sure it showed up as F: before.

Restore me ipod...what is that? i have not "restored" my ipod...

You can't restore on windows 98. You need to connect it to xp or 2000 to restore it.
