My Ipod missing 43 tunes from iTunes libary

Apologies if this has been covered already, but what do I do about the fact that my Ipod is 43 tunes short of my iTunes library total. I suspect that these tunes were some of my downloads from Limewire. I've encoded iTunes for Mp3s and tried downloading from folders on the hard drive, makes no difference.
Any help appreciated

Burn them to a disk & import into iTunes.
