I have been having this problem for a while now on my windows computer: when I plug my iPod in, nothing happens. Last time this problem occured, I took the iTunes software off my computer and then reinstalled it, and everything worked smoothly for a time. Then, after a few months, the problem started up again. I know many people suggest taking off the itunes software and reinstalling, but is there an easier alternative? If yes, will someone please tell me what to do?
Thanks

Try resetting your iPod: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705

Okay, I think I'll try that, but first I need your opinion on something else. My sister also has an ipod and her music is on the same computer as mine, and they used to both work, but now when she plugs her ipod in, nothing happens. Are both the ipods screwed up, or is it something in the computer?

It sounds like something to do with the computer. What OS are you running?
